SCAM Apparently a local number, on answering a taped message about payments from my bank. Familiar recording and voice. It's a scam.
This number calls me every day 3 or 4 times. I do not answer. It says it is from UK
vodafone, i dont think so, probably Kolcata

When they ring , they always get me out of bed, when i look at the number on the phone screen its very close to my area number so i answer , then there's a delay while it clicks and connects to a different part of the world and then a foreign sounding lady always mis- says my name with a long eee at the beginning and there is an office noise back ground . When i'm asked if i'm Mr eeeee i always say no and put the phone down - clearly a stupid scammer . They buy a set of BT block numbers and when you answer

SCAM - Unsolicited call stating they spoke to me ages ago and implied I'd agreed to sponsor books for local school. Very slick, found out where my child goes and said 'headmaster will call you yo thank you'......then start pressurising payment over the phone and calling back daily. More needs to be done to shut these types of scammer down!!!

SPAM, We have been researching insulation and similar, but have not asked to be put on any lists. Somewhere along the line we must have had details sold on/passed on, as we've had around 10 calls all from different, but similar numbers, including this one just now. Our phone is 'screened' by an automatic voce asking for the caller's name and NONE of them has done so, hanging up at that point. Very frustratig, keep blocking them, but another similar number rings a while later.....
Several telephone calls from them. They call about my domestic appliance renewal and they use a very similar name to my actual insurance provider. They then lie and claim that the policy is with them and they just want to do a good deal for renewals. I was suspicious so telephoned my actual provider and they confirmed the call was not from them. This is a scam. The callers are dishonest and will call repeatedly. I recommend you block this number immediately.

Rang me twice. When I picked up they said it was from Curry’s PC world, saying they had a promotions for phones and asked what phone I was using now. I said I wasn’t interested, and they hung up without saying anything else. It was quite hard to hear as their environment was loud, sounded kind of like a call centre in India. I’m not a Curry’s shopper so I doubt the legitimacy of this, probably a scam.

Caller fraudulently advised he was from my bank, wanting my security details, which I declined to give. He advised he was cancelling my debit card, and could not send me a new one without those details, and that a fraudulent purchase had been made with my card. Male non english accent called my landline from 07342065763 17 Jan 2023. Stated he was from Amazon security and that he had emailed me as someone had ordered a £600 phone on my account. I asked whose name was on the account as he said it was my name. I asked again whose name and he said D Maddison. When I say they don't live here he hung up. Obviously has some old phone records.
