Fraud SCAM Fraud Claimed to be from Vodaphone, said that an attempt to change my account number had been flagged up, called my number to verify with an old address (first flag) Second flag was when I asked if I could have a verification email I received a what amounted to a "yes but hurry up and give me the number" And of course, when I received a recovery/account change text, the first words of said text were DO NOT TELL ANYONE THIS NUMBER, POLICE OR VODAPHONE EMPLOYEES INCLUDED. It's a debt collectors called ACI. it's outgoing calls only so don't bother phoning back,I just blocked it " if they don't take mine I don't take theirs" dead simple
I answered this call on my landline but didn't speak and the call just shut off. Judging by the number of times this number has been searched, one would assume it to be an unsolicited call. Now blocked.
SCAM: claimed to be Microsoft security services. When challenged began a tirade of abuse before terminating call
Automated call alleging my bank card had been used to make 2 suspicious transactions. Voice of female garbled and hardly discernible. Encouraged me to press 1 to authorise transactions, or 2 for more details. Didn't do either, suspect it to be a scam call.

I asked her for the error numbers and how did they know and my husband was to blame for using naughty sites - she rang off, saying that I could chose to believe or not.

Obviously a call centre as we have answer machine no message left. As we did not recognize the number we left it to ring if urgent for them to speak to us they would surely have left a message. On looking at the location it could also be a scam/spam call even for fraud.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from my Mobile Phone provider offering an upgrade. As I am on a PAYG tariff (satisfactory for my needs) I politely declined their offer and hung-up. If and when I want or need an upgrade I will decide which Company to approach.
