Was a missed call on a Saturday. Traced to Manchester area. I dont have any connections with there. Assume it would be a scam call.
Annoying. Rings same time everyday and leaves no message. Now blocked. As previous review says most likely cold caller, but never picked the call up from the start.if genuine they would leave a message

SPAM Called themselves 'Confirm My Policy' offering to sell life insurance. Claimed to work with big name insurers but no evidence of their existence online.
SCAM Called saying they were from BT and my internet speed had been reported as an issue. A technician are working on it, but it was software on my router that was wrong. Got me to look up internet speed. Gave them fake results, which would have been top drawer, to be told they were not good Passed me to another technician to get me to open windows run and enter 'www.anydesk.com'. That scam has been doing the rounds for years. Told them I worked in IT, and they hung up!

Yeah, these idiots keep calling me too. My advice is to play along and waste their time. I spent hours providing them false contact and banking details. They got really angry when they kept asking me to confirm the account number. It feels so good wasting their time when then had full intentions of wasting myne / whilst trying to rob me blind . SCAM Said they were from Virgin Media and that there was a problem with our internet, but when I asked if she knew my name she just hung up.
Cynical call, a day after receiving a SSE dividend, an unsolicited call from the USA about my share holding. An Indian sounding person, in a call centre, who had to asked on whose behalf he was calling. Then said it was some form of financial company. As if one would talk about your shares to an unknown person, acting for an off-shore company. Initially he was trying to make me believe he was connected to SSE.
