Automated call from HM Revenue advising of a case against me, reference to County Court, telling meI need to call number back.
They ve been trying to call me once a day for a week but I don t answer unknown numbers. It becomes irritating though. I guess they hope to break your curiosity eventually.

Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. They confirmed that this is not a number they use and not to give out any information. SC

The probability is that this is being initiated by morons with an overall IQ of zero. Fraud scam. Scam insurance crash call. The call operator was obviously very new at this. Fumbled and stumbled his way through the script in barely understandable “Hind-lish”. I stopped him and told him he was really terrible at this game, should stop now, he’s not cut out to be another sh*tty scammer. Told him his parents would be ashamed of him. He apologised and cut the call.

Someone called me 4 times today starting at 07:00 with this number but with the norwegian countrycode. Just now they called again but from UK. They wanted to know if I was looking for a job and that they had a position in Sweden and in London.

This is a high pressure sales caller purporting to be from a company called ESI, although I could find no details of them online. Their aim is to get people on good defined benefits pension schemes to sell out. They talk a good game, but this smells awfully like a scam outfit which is attempting to get people to transfer monies from safe defined benefits schemes to them, which is incredibly worrying. Your best bet if you receive a call from this number is to block it.
