Claimed to have been passed my number by a public sector - which one they wouldn t divulge. Reading through the above, however, and despite their reluctance to give information, I think it s a genuine call (reported a crime to the police, which was solved). I am fed up with being called by this number. Several times in a day and then the line goes dead. I am registered with TPS, and the one time I did speak to them I told them so and to stop calling - it seems to have got worse.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 14138002xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with telemarketing calls - Scottish Power, debts and loans... Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
