Conscam making out we are a customer and saying they are placing our next order

This number left a message on my answerphone saying that unauthorised payments had been made from an Amazon account and to press 2 to talk to someone. Clearly a scam but would scare some people to do the wrong thing.

SCAM - DO NOT RESPOND This was a recorded message saying two potentially unauthorised payments had been made on my card - one of £300 and an international payment of £1,000 - followed by the option of approving the payments or speaking to someone about them. This sounded like a scam ( there was no mention of which bank the call was from), and so it turned out to be when I checked with the bank.

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. These people want you to think they are from Visa and say that a large amount of money has been removed from your bank account (they don’t mention either your name or the name of your bank or any bank) unless you contact them immediately. It is a recorded message but it is a scam. And they are persistent. This is the third day in a row around about the same time each morning. It is clumsy but people may be taken in.

This number rang my Mobile which is only know to a few people. I was told it was HMRC and if i didn't send some paper work i would be liable to prosecution. Told to press option one to speak to some one did so and the person on the end said something like thank you for calling !!!! didn't understand the last bit. I commented I didn't call you did, it then went quiet. I hung up. Both voices were certainly not UK English in speakers. Don't trust this phone number think it's a scam

Fraud pretended to be my bank after recent bank fraud, new my name, date of birth and address and card details. I have checked with my actual bank, this was not their staff.

Sales call ….from three, offering 40% discount on current contract. They didn’t even know my name and I’ve been with them for 20 years….jokes, but they did say they can confirm if I give them my email address….I don’t think so pal, they must of thought I was born yesterday, and I clearly stated to them I think your lying and prove yourself. Of course they couldn’t answer. Don’t trust ii, it’s a scam if I ever saw one.
