As usual, when I was hard at work on something important that needed concentration, I got this call again. The usual recorded voice addressed me as "Dear customer". Before turning to Tellows I looked it up on another site and found there had been 169 complaints about it there alone in a few days. Surely the authorities can do something about this, or are the perpetrators so clever they cannot be traced? I hope they are, and that they will get their deserts for their criminal behaviour.

Just answered this as it was a 'normal' dialling code. Turns out it was a recorded message for a PPI claim.

Said they are open reach in a foreign accent and told me internet to be switched off in next 24/48 hours! Then started asking about computer and .mobile phone ...have called me ...
