I asked where they got my details from and he started talking about people reporting reception problems this morning! When pressed, he just hung up. I rang the number back, and got an answer machine message saying they were MJ Recruitment!

Claim to have got number from national accident register. It is illegal under Privace & Electronic Communications Regulations & Data Protection Act (see ICO.org) to use personal data without permission, irrespective of whether it is on a list or not. I have reported them to ICO. You should too - it is the only way to get nuisance callers fined.

Cold telephone called my 88yr old aunt. Left her anxious and worried about whether she had ordered anything or not. I spent time on the phone to ensure there was no order placed. I had a call from this number where a somewhat threatening female voice informed me that criminal charges were about to be brought against me. I'm a 74 year old female who, while maybe not quite fitting the description of an angel, has not committed any crimes, heinous or otherwise. Were I the type who was easily intimidated I might have pressed 1 to see further details but luckily I'm not so I didn't. I'd love to punch this so and so right in the kisser but that WOULD be criminal - but deserved!!
