So this number comes up for a Polish restaurant Folk House Zakopane in London. Well they'd have no reason to be calling people out of the the blue and 'Max' claimed he was calling from Carphone Warehouse.

Inarticulate call from someone purporting to be from Virginmedia about internet service. suspect a scam.

SCAM Over the last week I have had calls from this company who purports to be from Amazon stating that a certain amount of money will be taken and press 1 to cancel and 2 to speak to an operator - do not do either HANG UP - Checked with both Amazon and bank they would not leave message like this. Also for reference they also use 0204 520 3908/0204 5203909 and 0208 194 2753. The scripts are slightly different stating that £00 will be taken for Amazon and £1100 bank transfer. Do Not engage with them

They called asking for someone of a different name. I said it's a wrong number and they hung up. However it sounded very much like a scam call centre. After doing 1471 3 called them back and was hearing a recorded message about them being telly tube or telly shute. Never heard of them.

Please watch out for these scumbags - they will also send a very official looking booklet claiming to be from Scottish Widows via e-mail A couple of guys calling themselves Tom & Jamie but when you try calling their number it doesn't connect They are very polite and professional on the phone If you send them any money you will never see it again - luckily we didn't get caught but it was close

They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. Phone scams are a common way for criminals to con people out of money using various tricks to get your personal or financial information. Scam, automated call supposedly from Amazon Prime about the subscription..., goes on to say press 1 for... press 2 for..., yeah, like I am touching anything other than end call and blocking it, anyone who presses a number on the keypad according to such directions will undoubtably transfer you to a premium phone number costing £X's per minute, or some other way to scam money from you, ask yourself, would a multinational company be phoning from a normal phone code?

SCAM Advised trying to sell life insurance, got my information from Marketing Department, advised they knew my name but did not address me with my name and when I asked what other personal information they had for me, and where they had got it from, they hung up. I think they have bought personal data to make these calls and this is a scam
