Company in London calling to sell advertising space in my local (Sheffield) post office.

All the numbers from this range 020794609xx are used by the same call centre dealing with insurance marketing - car accident. If you say you have had no accident, they mostly hang up the phone and that's it... I have been using the ShouldIAnswer mobile application from these pages, works fine, can stop such calls and also a range of numbers (very useful for call centres). No problems.

They keep calling when I try to callback I get greeted by vodafone voicemail. Ive text the number informing them that they are breaching the misuse of telecommunications act and if they call again I will pursue the matter with the relevant authorities

I have seen this number in an alert message on my facebook. They say that they are HMRC & you owe money & there is a court case pending.Dont confirm or give them any personal information just hang up & if you can block their number.If they persist in calling then contact your local police on 101.
