Bogus caller purporting to be from amazon, used my name which I confirmed and he asked for confirmation that I had ordered a new i-Phone 12 which I had not. This is just a bluff/smokescreen to raise anxiety and alarm. Caller asked how I usually access Amazon and requested that I login to my account. My curiosity about the call stopped here. I told the caller that I did not trust the call and hung up. To confirm, there has been no Amazon activity on my account. The caller simply wanted me to open it.

01268395512 - Definitely a spam call. They asked my name 3 times which i did not confirm, 3 times i asked who they were, they gave a garbled response and when i asked the nature of the call they hung up.

Randomly called said she was from sky and said our internet is slow. Tried to get us to download and app called quick support. This app allows people to remotely access your phone. Very dangerous as the can get so many details this way. We questioned her and she hung up. Called back and metro express answered, Im guessing this number is used for numerous amounts of scams. SCAM Caller 'Siobhan' on 03332420495 stating from Taylor Stirling Legal. This company is dissolved. The call was a scam attempt to extract personal data. Rang off as soon as the realised they were rumbled and I was running reverse tracing on them. South African IP and call number spoofing. Beware, very clever question structure to get you to reveal sensitive data.

Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft saying that they've detected a problem with my computer and asked if I can switch on my computer. I refused and challenged them; caller eventually put me onto their "supervisor" and he asked me if I understood the nature of this call from Microsoft today but I told him that I didn't believe he was and he said "OK then f**k off" and I replied "Likewise" and hung up. Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

Amazon banking scam

Indian male called Alex purporting to be from BT telling me I had a problem with my internet and they were getting urgent error signals. I knew it was a hoax call, had them before, so asked him twice what the signals were and he put the phone down. I googled the number that came up, 01438 318251 and its for a homeless shelter in Stevenage. Indian scammers using business numbers for those that really need help! Sick b$%^A$%s!

Same person who called one Aberdeen number (allegedly!) called me saying his name was "Nigel" from Carphone Warehouse. Asian accented and probable scam as when I asked him which branch of CPW, he immediately terminated the call. Criminal scam!
