UK +447738015632 is a Scam caller. Hang up, block the number & report it. I answered & it took a couple of seconds to connect to the caller, in the way offshore call centres connect. A very similar number , 7342 225631, texted me pretending to be one of my children, saying that they had broken their phone and had to borrow a friend's. Asked me to WhatsApp them on this number.

The man on the phone was a an Indian guy saying that he was calling from virgin meadia and my iPhone address was found in America. They wanted to get my details .

I was called from 01733385646 and because I come from Peterborough I answered it. It was an automated voice stating that there had been a number of charges made against a card, going on to say that one was for Amazon. They were so obviously not from any bank as they did not say which bank, card, etc., Therefore I just put the phone down. When I tried to call the number back it went dead as if not recognised. Thus I conclude that this could be a scam!

The scammers call several times a day.

Claimed to be calling from "credit investigation unit" and government had shortlisted me to write off 90% of my debt. I got him to stop, then said I was recording the call and began quizzing him. The story he spun twisted and flipped, wouldn't answer how/why the government knows what my credit status is, or who compiles the shortlist, or where his employer got it. I repeated that I was recording the call and suggested it was a scam. He swore and cut off the call.
