Called me 4 times today, my phone goes to answerphone. No message

THEY PHONED MY SHOP TODAY SAYING THEY WERE FROM METERING DEPARTMENT AND MY GAS METER WAS GIVING FALSE READING OF OVER £6000, THEY WANTED TO SEND AN ENGINEER TO CHECK IT BUT NEEDED MY CONTRACT NUMBER. I ASKED WHAT THE METER NUMBER IT RELATED TO, BUT THEY KEPT ASKING FOR CONTRACT NUMBER. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THEIR MANAGER AND THEY HUNG UP. BY THE WAY I DO NOT HAVE A GAS SUPPLY AT MY BUSINESS.

My Pixel phone flashed red for scam call so I didn't answer. Checked the no. on this site & am grateful to previous contributors. The no. is now blocked.

Answered as had same code as my home address. IMS Nationwide, I think he said. Knew my name, ambulance chasers. Blocked.

They have phoned 11 times over two days. Some finance company. I ve given them 9 due to the number of calls they have made.

Keeps calling and asking for a Mr Pratt. Indian voice, very bad English. They will not give me there number or stop calling when requested. Any request for information and they ring off.

This is a company to do with loans. They left me a voicemail but I didn't catch the company name.

Steve is correct, it is Bauer Media. If you ve entered your number online somewhere for a free magazine (I d asked for Marie Claire / Instyle) then they re calling for your address. Theyll also offer you 3 issues for £1.00. Spoke to a lovely lady and she asked if I wanted future calls for offers and so I said no. It s all legit. However, they need to work on their employees... I had another call minutes later from a guy there who was on the phone to someone else!!

Rang once, couldn t understand name of company but heard PPI, so put phone down, rang back immediately and the male operative said, "Why did you put the phone down", I replied, "Cos I m not interested". He answered, "Interested in what" in an angry tone, so I just said, "In whatever you re selling" and hung up again. The phone then rang again immediately and I didn t answer. Didn t like the tone of the call at all, or appreciate being rung back a further twice.
