Constantly briefly rings without waiting. Presumably hopes for expensive recall.

Original call number came in as V21309255500012, when picked up and answered, no response, just silence. After hanging up, hit CID button (caller ID) and the new number was revealed as 1-778-555-0161, a number from British Vancouver.

Called no message left. When I returned the call a real person answered alleging they were from HMRC. The call had very noisy background which sounded like a call centre. I immediately hung up the call.

Just received a call from 08434100078. It waited for me to speak then told me to press 5 for refund. I stayed silent and it cut off after 20 seconds.

I have had a call from this number on my landline every day for the past two weeks. I do not pick up as I have caller display but it is quite annoying as it rings at all different times. There should be a way of stopping these calls.

Advised that he is based in Dakar, Bangladesh and that they use an automatic dialler with my telephone number being obtained from an opt-in database. If I m feeling particularly argumentative I ll answer but generally I don t bother if I don t recognise the number. If they were genuine they d leave a voicemail wouldn t they?
