This is because your insurer has sold on your contact details to this third party who will try to get you to make accident claims for a cut of the payout. A person who called themself rose alex on instagram messaged me wanted my number and said they was from miami florida but currently in west africa nigeria , the person claimed to be 29 and single and female but with only a few pictures on her page and wanted to chat directly on whatsapp this person could be either a guy or a girl , the number comes up from southampton so i will be blocking as must be bogus

An obvious nasty scam call. Never, never press keys when asked to by unknown callers !!! Whoever is using this number should be traced and stopped!

Scammers. An indian man called saying he is from Sky broadband and needs to check something about the security of the connection. He asked if I had an android phone where I could download a specific app (TeamViewer QuickSupport or AnyDesk Remote Desktop). If you install these apps they will try to get remote access to your phone and will steal everything they can. Just hang up and report the number.

SCAM This number called on my land line with a recoded message stating that my internet was to be cut off within the next 24 to 48 hours because of illegal activity. If I needed to speak to an executive manager I instructed to press 1 on my handset. The internet was not cut off nor has been interrupted. This is a scam.

This number called me up to ‘follow up’ after a fraud attempt on my Revolut card. I had actually contacted Revolut as I had another scam call the day before (definitely linked to this one) attempting for me to give a code to add my card to their Apple Pay. They were convincing, and said if I don’t give them answers to the security questions then they can’t block the payments. I believe they had my card details already, so if this has happened to you cancel your card for the account they seem to have and get
Received a recorded call saying that there had been unusual activity on my bank account and gave me some options to select 1 or 2. Didn't feel legitimate.
Phoned saying they were from BT and I had a very serious internet problem - caller was clearly from India, so I asked him what part of England he was calling from and he said London, even though the number says Pickering.
