My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. They estimate readings and send someone over to check for themselves. Southern Electric have made a note of this number. I advis

It's a company called First Contact by Utilita. I was called on my mobile and they hung up. A return call revealed they were a call centre and I have now blocked the number.

Been getting calls from this number over last few days so called them back. First a woman answered, seemed like it was the last thing she wanted to do and told me the line was bad so she would call me back. No call back so I called again. A man called Joshua stated he was from Lotto Social and would like to offer me 5 free Euro Millions lines for tomorrow night (24/04/2015). Called me today, didn’t recognise the number so I didn’t answer. They didn’t leave a message, I wonder why.

Telepest, she had my name and address and said it was because she had a file on my car accident (I've never had a car accident)...

They have phoned my home every day for the last 6 months! They will not stop phoning my home no matter how rude you get with them.

Had 2 calls in 2 days so far from this lot, never heard them, so never answered, But always look on here to see if it is a know annoyance.

This company uses various combinations of telephone number. I just let the answer phone kick in. If I recognise the voice I then answer, can have 6 -10 of this type of call a day. I do 1471 and keep a note of all the numbers and then check them out on Google.
