Have been called every day or every other day for the last week. I have previously donated to Oxfam (and they have been told not to call me again), if this number is proved to be linked to them I will not support the charity any more and support others instead

Fraud claiming to be Carphone Warehouse
At 8.20am I answered my land line thinking it must be important and was a local number. It was a automated message saying ‘thank you for your payment of £299 for anti virus, if any problems please call our free phone number’ The number I’m afraid I didn’t get and it didn’t say any company either. I’m sure this is a scam of some sort that they catch you when you call to complain so very much aimed at the trusting, naive or elderly.
This number called me asking for bank details, date of birth etc. They said they were sending a free emergency alarm to elderly people. I would just have to pay the maintenance fee.

Very suspicious. Stated that I had incurred debt in several locations. Wanted to offer me a loan, and kept pushing to give a loan. Got angry when I accused them of being a scammer.
Caller then rang off after I d googled "The review team" and found several sites showing issues.

SCAM Received a text message from this number (supposedly HSBC) saying i had authorised a payment of £195.00 to Mr C Jones. The message goes onto say that if it was not me, to cancel by clicking the link in the message. They must think i was born yesterday! Firstly i have never owned an HSBC account, secondly i don't know a Mr C Jones and thirdly, i would NEVER click a link in a text message even if i knew who the message was from!
The number is similar to others that have been pestering me recently so I knew it was the Talk Talk fakers at work still. Last week I got three such calls in one day, so now I answer in a loud voice which seems to upset them, after which I wait until they mention "Talk Talk" before hanging up.
