This number came up on a pop up box when trying to install a new version of Microsoft Office on a Mac. It said you needed to ring the number for help or you would lose the product. This is not the case and this company has no affiliation with Microsoft. It is a scam to get your credit card info and gain access to your computer. Run a separate Google search and ring Microsoft’s real helpline number if this happens to you. If you’ve already given them access to your computer ring Action Fraud.

Not sure it was this number, as we don't have caller ID. But had numerous calls from Asian Trader Magazine wanting to now my mothers maiden name, my primary school. 4 times they have rung now a different person each time. Trying to gain as much information about me as possible. Probably building a data profile on me to scam me.

SCAM Asked was I ....but said the wrong name and wrong landline number. Said he was from the call blocking dept. When I asked which provider? He rang off. If your going to try and scam someone, at least get the number your calling correct...dozy tw_t.

Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft saying that they've detected a problem with my computer and asked if I can switch on my computer. I refused and challenged them; caller eventually put me onto their "supervisor" and he asked me if I understood the nature of this call from Microsoft today but I told him that I didn't believe he was and he said "OK then f**k off" and I replied "Likewise" and hung up. Scammer with automated message stating it was my bank.. Claimed a transfer of £600 had been blocked to western union and asking me to dial 1 to connect to an operator. I hung up as I don't even have £600 and checked with my online banking for any alerts. Nothing there.

Automated "suspicious activity" message, mentioned £1000 foreign transfer. I let them talk to my answering machine and ignored. Interestingly, had another call 10 mins later, this time from 01732 896820 - they hung up immediately my machine kicked in. Probably the same scammer using different numbers??
