So after I received a call I asked him a few questions about the business etc and things didn t sit right, he also had no current address for me or know my d.o.b or email address.. I then said " due to the information you have provided me with I believe your working for an illegitimate company and therefor I won t disclose any information with you" his reply was "oh okay" any other company would have argued the toss with me to prove there legitimate... please phone me back or let s communicate through email

The London Art Company apparently. They are in the process of sending out some art information and wanted to confirm my address. Asked for me by name. Asked not to call again

I get several calls a week from this company which I ignore. As it seems they have first names they must be getting this information from phone companies selling lists on. Only my friends, family and phone company know my number AND name.

They answered the phone very nicely and did not snap at all on our survey of PPI Thankyou

Received an urgent sounding recorded message, claiming to be British Gas and asking us to call 01216290765. Spoke to BG, and they have confirmed that THIS IS A SCAM, as they would never contact customers in such a manner.

Like all the other comments, this was a recorded message claiming to be from Inland Revenue (I should have smelled a rat immediately at that point - it s HMRC now...) and that I was being sued. Brain not in gear, and in panic, dialled 1, but silence at the other end, then call terminated. I am now so angry. A foreign guy called said he was with a credit fraud company, a lot of background noise, obviously a scam call. I hung up and blocked the number.

Phoned at 13.20 29 April purporting to be from Halifax Fraud department stating there had been suspect activity on my account and requesting various card details in order to cancel the transactions. I called the Halifax Fraud number and cancelled my card.
