Someone called insisting to talk to the boss (they already knew his name, which is not difficult if you check companies house). They said they cannot even send an email with their name as it's confidential. It's about shareholding or whatever. I think they have been sending us mail as well.

It was a callback from a company that replaces carbon monoxide units. nI called the 0800 number that was written on the unit, left a voicemail. nThis is a safe number

Guy calls saying I qualify for a refund due to a prior overpayment and that he can help me claim it. I ask where he s calling from, he says "consumer services". Starts asking for my banking details and I have to interrupt him again to ask what company the "consumer services" relates to. He answers with Reactiv Media and the continues badgering me for bank details. I stop him to say I don t recognise the name of the company and if he could remind me what service I purchased from them. He hung up.
Obtained my number from my insurers re a claim and was following up.
