Soem idiot Welsh person called demanding to speak to me by name. I asked what it was about. He said simply my name again. This went on 3 times until he said you obviously don t understand English, I m going to hang up , which he did.

When asked how they got my number the Indian/Pakistani male caller immediately hung up. I tried to call this number and it is not recognised so is obviously a scam. Ask who is calling and that the number is being monitored, if they do not hang up immediately at least be aware that it is probably a scam and DO NOT give any person details.

I answered this call and was greeted by an automated voice saying "goodbye" No idea who it is.
Said they were from the Electrical Safety Group and it was now 10 years since they last did an inspection. This was news to us as we've lived here for over 20 years and never had an inspection. Anyway we use our own electrician. She apologised and said it must be an error and would remove us from their system. Hopefully that'll be the last we hear from them.
We are the company affected by this problem and at present are unable to operate our own phone line, we are not making the calls, our telephone number has basically been hacked ...
