said he was from Benefits UK and just had a few quick questions. Nonsense. I put the phone down.
I said hello a few times and got no reply so I hung up. Looked like a landline...

I received 4 calls today from above number plus 01606 866819, 07072 038865, 01386 708385. nAlways the same recorded message starting at 08.25 this morning and finishing at 14.11...
I answered on their third call. Liam tried to be my friend, then wanted to know if I was insured. I thanked him for his concern, and told him the conversation was over. Then hung up.
This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with savings club, just block it if not interested...
