The caller was warning me of dangerous transactions on my card. Amazon and overseas transactions. My bankers would not deal with this sort of matter by phoning my home phone number.
Monday May 8 Call from this number stating they were ringing from microsoft. This was one of a series of 6 calls starting on Friday 5th that stated they were (or were probably connected )from microsoft ! Different numbers used for each call; no messages left on answerphone. He was momentarily interested in sending it to my laptop until I told him it was a work issued laptop. Told him my phone was not internet connected as I found it to distracting and he hung up without a goodbye.I suspect the thought of a work issued laptop put him off as it would have good security and catch the rogue link he wanted to send me?

Purported to be from Sky tech department. They said that my computer whilst internet browsing had been subjected to monitoring by outside agencies. When I asked for her name so I could verify she was from Sky she terminated the call.

24 March 2023 got a message supposedly from my bank to say there had been an attempt to make a transaction to a famous Gym company in Aberdeen. I rang this number and got a woman with an AFro Caribbean sounding accent. Listened a while ,gave her no info and told her the line was noisy and would call back. Rang the fraud dept of my bank using the number on the back of my credit card and found out it was a big scam ............
