This was the TV licencing debt collecting agency, Akinika. Agressive calling. My mobile rang straight after the land line call which I didn t answer. I blocked them on my mobile, but I don t have that facility on my DECT phone. I didn t answer. I m skint over Christmas lol, and intend to pay up on the 8th Jan when I get paid. I owe them ?29.10. Surprised they sent it to a debit collection agency. I had got a letter on xmas eve from the company. Thanks for that, ;-)

Said they were from Everest. I got rid of them ok but when I tried to block the number with BT it didn t even show as having rung me.

Sarcastic and rude male just kept repeating he wanted to give me a quote for car warrenty on my car (mentioned make and model along with car reg!) Wouldn t remove my number when asked. I insisted to be put through to a human being who doesn t have attitude. Old scam - after your data to sell onto other criminals who disregard the law. Just hang up. Good reporting them to the ICO. You don t even need to know their name, just their number. I received a call from Motorpal today Telephone number 029 2036 4211 , they wanted me to pay £1 for vouchers to be sent then alarm bells rang so I did some checking and found this site. I have asked them to call back tomorrow as I said I did not have my card to hand lol. caller didnt announce himself, just asked me to confirm personal details but when i asked, he claimed to be from "the nationwide". He had my name, phone number and postcode. He wanted me to confirm my age but as soon as i asked him further questions he hung up and ended the call. This was obviously not a legitimate call from the nationwide building society.

When I answer this call there is a long silence then a female voice says"goodbye" nothing else.
