Further to my comments a few days ago, they still call, the call is answered, but there is no one there. NO REPUTABLE company would do this, or allow their partners to.

Caller said she was from BT Openreach, calling concerning my internet connection. I said "no thankyou" and put the phone down.

I always get a call from this type of numbers where a machine will be talking rather than a being. It disturbs me a lot.
4 times I have received this call this morning already - it shows call as 'international' and when I pick up there is just silence, then a long beep! Very annoying!

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

Said they were calling from Expedite Crash Claims and that they had heard I was in an car accident. I said I have NEVER been involved in a car accident before. They then asked me When did the car accident take place? I told them to f*** off and they hung up. l suspect this was an interactive robot speaking, very believable and spoke good english but didn t recognise my long winded response for not been involved in any car accident .

Keep getting calls and spoof texts, they claim to be Scottish Power but they are not. They tell me my number is linked o a SP account but I rang SP from their website number and they have advised me there is no account with my number. Had a call from a Wayne (over friendly in my opinion) about 4 items purchased prior to Christmas and asking if I d had to return any of the said items, then went on to talk about monthly payments and how I m now in control of what and when I pay. I told him two of the items had been paid for outright. All this information would be on my account, right?The call doesn t sit right with me so will be contacting the company about this call.
