Have been receiving daily calls from these people - previously they have asked to speak to my mother and simply hung up when told she was out. Today, after more persistent questioning, the caller (who had a heavy Indian accent) said his name was David, calling from Windows Service Centre in Surrey, and that my parents computer has been downloading malicious software. THis number has been calling my mobile, when I answered today they said they were calling about a competition I had entered and wanted to check the details I had put on the entry form were correct. I suggested that if I had filled in an entry form myself then they would be!! However they started to read them out and had several things wrong, including title, first name, and marital status. I told them that if I didn t recall entering and hung up.

Despite registration with the TPS, I had two cold calls about an alleged car accident in which I was involved but I do not own a car and certainly was not involved in an accident on the date claimed. The caller claimed to be from a company called Solicitors Law Firm and to have got details of my alleged accident from the UK National Traffic Department but as far as I can ascertain neither organisation exists. They witheld their phone number but claimed to be calling from 01527 821239.

This number seems to be about car warranty.

Cannot comment. Missed call.
