4 SCAM Banking Automated call Saying there is unusual charges to your card ie: overseas money transfer and it asks you to press 1 to confirm you want the payment to go through.
Missed call
Called me; recorded message started 'This is a Bank Notification'. We have received two charges . .' Obvious nonsense, I ended the call.. This has all the hallmarks of a potential SCAM. Do not respond.
SPAM
Recorded message telling me my Amazon subscription had gone out of date and they had taken £90 from my account. First time I knew that Amazon had offices so close to my home. Nearest one is Preston
Automated voice telling me there were charges to my account. One from amazon and one an international money transfer. I could press 1 to allow or 2 to speak to someone about it. LOAD OF RUBBISH, TOTAL SCAM JUST LOOKING FOR PERSONAL DETAILS AND BANK DETAILS. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS NUMBER.
Claims to be calling about my existing life insurance. Continued to read off his script while I fired questions to him about my non existing life insurance. Trying to get personal information like age, date of birth, address, etc.
Debt collector
This is allegedly 02 network from an Indian call centre. When i spoke to them i said let me call my customer services to verify your phone number they hung up. As it happens 02 didn't answer the customer service line so unsure if a scam number posing as 02. It didn't charge me for the call. I have blocked the number.
Wife took a call on our landline from 'Amazon', for me saying (female voice, foreign accent) Prime membership was about to expire and I should renew at 79.99 or cancel. The call was not responded to. To my knowledge I'm not currently a prime member (and usually careful to not accidentally become so when ordering!). I would not expect such calls from Amazon anyway, so seems that Prime was being used as a excuse to go phishing/scamming?

SCAM, they promote and promise jobs in hospitality but they keep a virtual office fishing people to pay 600 GBP to pass security officer seminars in order to work with them.. as security. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY.. you will only loose time and money

SCAM This is the number of a legitimate taxi company. It is being spoofed by scammers. Just hang up.

Claimed ti be shaw cover insurance brokers Phoning on behalf of the bog 5 insurance companies. Wanting to know what my cover was and who it was being left to and that they could lower my payments and increase my cover. Asked them who they were.phinong on behalf of! Not my life insurance company ???? contacted my insurance company who conformed they do not use brokers and to always use them direct for anything
Fraud George from Visa Bank Security - dont give ANY information - they could not confirm who I banked with so would not speak to them.
AMAZON nope i don't think so.
