where does this number belong

We were telephoned 3 times between approx 6 - 7pm on Thurs 29/11/2012. They did not leave messages which made me suspicious. I dialled 1471 and Googled. They appear to be in Preston, Lancashire. I am a pensioner caring for my parents who share dementia and Alzheimer?s. We do not want unwelcomed strangers calling our home. Can something be done, please? Thank you kindly.

Rang on my mobile after I gave mobile number for some car insurance quotes. When I answered there was no one there.

warning guys i have received missed calls from this number and when i ran a search it appears this number is posing as various companies from modelling agencies to vodafone to a finance solution. Ignore this number

had a missed call, phoned back was on hold for ages thought it was an important call.

I got a message with a text, that I should urgently call this number and I ll probably need a lawyer and that there are some serious problems...blah..blah. I, or my lawyer, should call them in the next 24 hours. God, I hate this. A year ago, I got something similar. This is BS. You won t be able to call them back for a few hours, then miraculously you ll reach them and they ll mumble something about loans...a car or a house.
