SCAM I'm not even with British Gas so it must be a scam. Anyway, if it was genuine, why do they ask you to press any key? Just talk, if it's genuine
Silent call
The call was allegedly from Sure Cover to revise my life insurance cover, then they said I was eligible for a better price and they tried to pass me to another department but I hang the call at that point. I searched and I found an article confirming it's a scam.
Missed call
Received a call from this number on my mobile today. I have no connection with this number whatsoever. Its mystery as to why I have received a call.

SCAM: received a text message, allegedly from my daughter, at 00.54 in the morning which was 'hello mum, this is my new number. My old phone no longer works. Can you send this number a message on Whatsapp? 07706376356.' So I did. I then checked with my daughter, who confirmed that she has not changed her phone number. I have phoned the number twice since; does not pick up but does go through to an anonymous voicemail.

SCAM This number is from a batch of similar numbers, a block of 74888 operated by Ziron Limited, all starting +44(0) 74888 71, and now onto +44(0) 74888 72 07488871686 07488871703 07488871758 07488871735 07488871757 07488871649 07488871624 07488871560 07488871705 07488871946 07488872266 I’m fed up with them. On calling back, there is the same automated voice, female, putting me in a queue. At no point whatsoever do they say who they are. I’m sick of blocking them because they always come

Some depressed and dejected sounding indian fellow saying something about a discounted iphone or some nonsense, as per standard procedure I frustrated his efforts and wasted his time until he hung up.
Call centre noise, caller put phone down after 6 seconds.
