Said they were calling from Expedite Crash Claims and that they had heard I was in an car accident. I said I have NEVER been involved in a car accident before. They then asked me When did the car accident take place? I told them to f*** off and they hung up. l suspect this was an interactive robot speaking, very believable and spoke good english but didn t recognise my long winded response for not been involved in any car accident .

I once answered the phone and asked who is it and they automatically cut off. I find it strange how this is becoming the norm all of a sudden. Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.
