The person said he was phoning from Amazon to say that my computer had been hacked and someone in Devon had bought a Nokia phone on my account. I hung up & checked my Amazon account. False alarm. Just be a scam.

This number must be part of the range of numbers dedicated to the same call centre - I can see more similar numbers of the same range 1618143xxx reported here already, so far as I can see on internet with accident chasers - RTA, PPI, insurance claims - "First Call Group". Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with something new, new scope?
