I was called by a Welsh Lady saying she was with the Pensions Review Team in Swansea. The area code is my local one in Norfolk - that was why I answered.

SCAM - claiming to be from a criminal investigation department regarding national insurance being linked to criminal activity
Called with a "and how are you today" manner. Talked about BT and phone line and offered discount on phone and calls. Then started asking questions like . Christian name ? How long in house? How much is your line cost? What about your calls? When I said that I don't give information to unknown callers on the phone, got shirty, said they would write, and rang off. Sounds like a scam to me, but could be dangerous if it is actually one.
