I got a missed call, phoned back and they told me it was HMRC about a tax query! Whenever do you phone HMRC and get through after 2 rings :D??!! Of course its a scam!

Fraud Scam call - automated voice saying it’s a call from HMRC & threatening that if you disregard it & don’t call back l, you will face the legal consequences.

A company looking at Lifestyle habits, not able to take no for an answer ie stop calling me, get me off your list. Very rude agent, potentially dodgy company.
This lady calls me every day, she even called me at 11pm at night. She is harrasing me!!!

Got a couple of calls selling warranty First call said I had a Bosh washing machine, I said I was busy. The next day another call saying I had a Samsung. They tried to convince me of their glowing credentials, that they ve been operating for 10years. Got transfered to a manager which I asked again if I could check on Companies House website for Applianceserve Ltd Company number 08957597 and they promptly hung up on me. Unfortunately all appears to be a lie unless the goverment website is a lie...?
I ve put Trustworthy to indicate that it is indeed the company that are calling. Actually it isn t. These are simply self employed people who get a commission if they manage to get any money out of you out agree to anything. There are several things you can do: First of all don t be intimidated. They are just people. Ask them how their day is, what the weather is like where they are, how they are feeling today and so on. Take control of the call, don t let them dictate to you. Keeps calling, no idea why, don t know anybody in 0330 ...
scam company tried to sell me a loan for £2000 and wanted a fee of £130 up front in cash paying. I asked for their consumer credit license number and they gave me one which isn t registered to them and lapsed in 2010 (572026). They also said they were part of Crowdcude which they are not, and call themselves Start Up Loans Ltd. No such company is registered with companies house. Funnily based in Glasgow apparently, none of the advisors had Scottish accents, but all had African ones.
Called twice in the last couple of days. Automated answer on reply.
