Spoke to a man with a thick accent, saying he was calling from Manchester, even though the number is a London exchange. Even after he spelled the company name, I still didn t catch who he was with. get 1 of these calls everyday!! always starting with 0161 then sometimes a different ending number but always about claiming back PPI or my recent car accident!!EVERY call I end demanding they remove my number from there database!!sometimes this is when they either hang up on me or apologise and wish me a nice day!! They called 6 times today purporting to be from Telephone Preference Service. They plainly are not. A bit disturbing that they had both mine and my wife s name and appeared to know which card we had used to set up BT direct debit.
This was a private landline until it was hijacked and I was receiving constant abuse from people returning their calls. If anyone has the name of the company using it please let me know so I can pass it on to the fraud squad

Called my elderly mother 30/5/18 They wanted to take over control of her computer and tried to get her to download software. They claimed to be from a bank but were criminals. Good job she is deaf and couldn't manage to do what they wanted on the computer
