I was asked to call the number for a validity check. Number rings and then when answered goes quiet. My number is withheld, so that s why they will not talk. These are Agents, probably working for Energy Consultants. The prices they get for you will include a significant commission. They will lie and harass you into agreeing contracts. This number keeps calling my elderly mother pretending its about a loan she had. They keep providing her with info like date of birth, asking her to confirm expecting her to provide the correct one. When I ring this number it says it is an old number. My 11 year old was with her when they last called and he said they were very pushy and kept asking her to confirm bank details.

I'm not sure about this call at all, he said his name was Alex (but I can't remember the name of the company he was calling from). He kept asking me to repeat my answers - even if it was a simple yes or no, I didn't repeat, I just asked him a question - this only happened twice before he hung up on me. I've read that there are some scams where the called attempts to get you to say some key words to record them. I don't know if this was one of those calls - but he did give up really quickly. Definitely left
