My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. They estimate readings and send someone over to check for themselves. Southern Electric have made a note of this number. I advis

I have had numerous calls from this person/company over the last few days. When I answer, they put the phone down, they never leave a message and when I called them back, I got an annoying automated message of the person on extension ..... Just received a call from 08434100078. It waited for me to speak then told me to press 5 for refund. I stayed silent and it cut off after 20 seconds.
