I answered a call from this number, and heard a male at the other end of the line with the sound of other people in the room. He didn’t answer immediately, and after a short while asked if I could hear him, to which I, possibly foolishly replied “Yeah, yeah”. The phone was not put down at his end, but there was no reply when I tried to communicate at which point I ended the call.

The phone number 02045174376 may be a scam to get money from people. The call was of bad quality with a lot of background noise. The caller tries to get you to except a phone contract cheaper than you current contract, but with the same or better terms and staying with your current provider. They then ask for an up front fee which they say you will back with the contract. I could not confirm what company owns the phone number, but when you call the number back it went to a message in a foreign language.
Legit. Checks out with what is listed on the HSBC UK website. Though the call quality was very bad. Also, you know it's a genuine bureaucratic banking process when they ask for 10 different details to confirm your identity. I swear the support lady could just identify theft the hell out of me at this point.

Missed call - I have had 3 calls in one day - all from Northern Island but all different numbers: 02893535035 and 02894106936 and 02877079126. I don't know anyone from this area and they have not left a message. I have never had calls from this area previously, let alone 3 on the same day.
Caller claimed to be from EE offering a 35% discount. Quality of Line suggests it was an international call in spite of the landline being a British number.

Automated call. I didn’t speak on picking up My mobile, as I don’t know anyone in London. After about 3 seconds the phone hung up. No voices heard on their end, it just rang off. I’m having these hang ups 1–2 week. I don’t know why, I’ve Not had an accident or made any claims?

SCAM This is a proper scam. They are pretending to be ee and they are trying to give you an update. They knew some bits about me when they called but I got suspicious when they started asking for bank details. They changed my account password and ordered an iPhone 14. I called ee straight after I spoke to them as I was suspicious. It turns out they even changed my email as I couldn’t access my account anymore!!!!!!!

SPAM A very quick internet browse told me that this was a spam call and so it proved. Don't even know what it was they were trying to sell, offer, advertise or what but the caller didn't even sound sure of what he wanted to tell me! Just told them where to go.
Looks like another Scam or Fraud as I'm not due any delivery's and the Post Office leave a card through your door when they can't get an answer, also I was in the whole day, I have reported the text message and number to the Ofcom scam text number: 7726 must be the 7th number I've reported now since I found the number to report scams to. I am moving from BT because of horrific service. I received a short automated message from BT - stating that they were taking over my line. I called to query this. The guy who answered verified my number, but it was not my number. I told him it was not mine and he abruptly hung up. I called back - the second call handler couldn’t understand the situation and became annoyed and hung up. My phone rung again and it was a scam call centre from abroad offering to cover my washing machine but I was to pay today.

They told me my Apple Pay is no longer available and my device had been flagged and when I clicked on the link it was a fully functioning Apple page but not the real one and it asked for all my information, please don’t call for this scam

cold calling - they pretend to be linked to lots if Life Assurance companies and acting on their behalf. They are not. Was bored and made up some data, they they pass you to someone who tries to sell you a policy. They quote the FCA many times - but when pushed confirm they are not regulated by them. Hang up, or have 5 mins of fun winding them up
