An male idiot called me to follow up on a brochure I had ordered. I told him I previously did arrange for a home visit and these planks cancelled it at 2 hours notice citing a broken down car. I told him that this was a lame excuse - hadn’t they heard of car hire? He kept saying “ we can foretell a breakdown” repeatedly! Just to confirm, after my previous post I reported this number to the police, who said it definitely is a scam, and that Microsoft would never call you about this sort of thing. These people will generally want remote access to your computer to "fix a virus" or something like that. They show you some files that they know every computer has and tell you they re harmful, which is completely untrue. They then use the remote access to steal from you. These people are a total nuisance. They are aggressive when they do speak and very rude. This number should be reported to Ofcom and Trading Standards. The more complaints made to the correct authorities the more chance these people will be dealt with.
