Internet. Calling from a Northern Irish telephone number. Claim to be from BT checking your router's download and upload speeds and wanting me to run a program so they can have access to my computer to supposedly clearing any faults. I did not run program.

I answered and they mentioned something about EE, then asked me how much I pay per month, I responded, no thanks I've just started a new contract. They then said "I never asked you to change your contract", I then said, I will stop you there and just tell you I am not interested, he then responded repeatedly, "GO FCK YOURSELF". Needless to say I hung up!!!

Text message stating it was Octopus Energy. But I have an account and they normally contact via email. So I don’t trust it.
This is probably a cloned number! I received call from this number on my landline. It was a scam call (live not recorded) purporting to be from BT internet about my internet line. I do not subscribe to any BT products, therefore considered it to be a scam. Could hear background noise as per a call centre.

Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. When I checked 10 minutes ago, *this* service said there had been 16 searches in the last 10 days. Now when I've returned 20 minutes later it says there have been 20 searches. Unexpected call from this number to my mobile - I live at the other end of the country - suspected spam especially as I see a lot of searches on the same number starting today.
