Automated answer informed me that my national insurance and bank accounts had been suspended. A crime number had been issued and court proceedings instigated. I was to press “1” to speak to operative. Safe to say I hung up. Strangely the actual phone number is very close to my own phone number….only a couple of digits out.

They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. SCAM / SPAM 01733889904 Rang saying they received my number from the government saying I am in debt, when I said that information like that wouldn't be provided by the government and would be in breach of GDPR they got defensive. Then informed them that my number is on telephone preference service and to remove my number from their computer system. Will wait to see if I get any more calls.
