Friendly guy with asian accent purporting to be calling from Openreach and from his office in 81 Newgate Street ( which is actually BT's Head Office ). Scam, told to go away.
Been called alt least twice a day by this number...it s a debt/loan agency...I personally have never had any dealings with this, or any other agency, so have fostered my mobile with the TPS and added the number to my spam application on the phone. This is a Scam number that calls you and says it is from HMRC. It then asks you to press 1 to connect to a tax office agent or they will send someone around to arrest you!! Laughable really, but please be careful.

Received 5 calls from this number on my landline today, 3 calls within 4 minutes, another one 15 minutes later and the last an hour and a half later. I leave the answer machine on, there was one automated message only that didn't inform me of anything. I've wondered why there are so many messages all of a sudden when I've had a quiet few days. I did receive a call from Home Start on a local 01267 number that I answered a half an hour before my first silent call. Maybe there is a link there.
Received two calls from this number just after 4am. No one spoke, call ended after a few seconds with a click. Turned my mobile off. There had been a third attempt. I was astonished to find out where this call came from. To my knowledge, there is no one there that I know.

Blocked by Call Guardian: Googling the number comes up with absolutely nothing.
SCAM call received from this number at 1130 on Mon 19/10/2020 stating “THIS IS A CALL FROM BRITISH TELECOM. YOUR LANDLINE AND INTERNET ARE ABOUT TO BE DISCONNECTED. PLEASE PRESS ONE”. I suspect that this is one of those calls which when you press “1” you will automatically be charged for a premium call. If you receive a call from this number, do NOT press 1 and block the number from your system.

I very rarely pick up the phone from numbers blocked or I don t recognise. This number has shown up several times on my phone, perhaps 8 in the last 3 weeks. They never leave a msg so I assume it s never important, but I wish they d stop.
