These people who purport to be from the UK Trade Register keep calling me on variations of the 020 3409 .... numbers and each time they call I tell them I m now ill (its not going to get better!!) and block the number. But they won t listen. The guy today just talked over me, ignored my comments and pleas to be left alone and continued bombard and talk over me. I eventually hung up. There must be something we can do to stop this sort of harassment.

Claims to be from Credit Fraud Investigation for UK Loans. Asked for my Partner and wanted private information, told them to hold the line so he did for 9 minutes. Went to fetch partner who wasnt here anyway. Then he said i could help and i said why should i. Became abusive told him to get a real job.

Got rude and aggressive when i tried to question how they got my details and when i asked for their Consumer Credit license number. Started swearing, name calling and laughing. THESE HAVE TO BE STOPPED!!!!!

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. They estimate readings and send someone over to check for themselves. Southern Electric have made a note of this number. I advis

Asked me for my address, which they said was wrong, and kept asking for my previous addresses, saying it will be a previous address and can I confirm my previous addresses. Declined to give them anything further - asked them what it was about, they declined to say anything except "an account" and asked for my username. Purchased from Everest a few years ago. Specifically asked them not to contact me on their paperwork for future sales, yet they do not honour this after repeatedly telling them to stop calling me. Highly annoying!

Definitely, do not talk to them they sound very dodgy. PPI claiming. Quite annoying and agressive. I hung up after 5min talking to them.

Highly persistent & persuasive caller offering to reclaim on mis sold packaged bank accounts on my behalf.

Called twice within the hour during the evening. Nottingham code. We live hundreds of miles from there! Left answer machine to deal with it. Recorded message saying there was a power cut in our area (there was not) press a number to acknowledge we'd heard the message (we didn't). We unplugged the phone overnight as they'd said they'd let us know when the power would be back on. Odd!
