SCAM - Robotic voice saying our internet will be switched off because of illegal activity.

I too have had money deducted from my Barclaycard. 29th jan It has taken till November and have been informed by swift financial that a refund is due in 30days that was the 26th Oct,nothing has materialised. What annoys me is swift are still sending me packs out to claim on other acts. They must be in on this scam. Where can I find out about act 1974. Sect 75 as I don’t think Barclaycard will refund now.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 13442441xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with not-fault accident, insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems) Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Cold calling on life insurance. Pretends to be ringing as if I know them and it's an agreed call. It was not. When challenged the guy became rude and cocky.

SCAM - no answer on pick up, suggest ignore

I got phone call from this number I didn't answer as I don't know the number and then research the number and seen reviews so whoever recieves a call don't answer as I believe it may be a scam.

Recieved call from a chap called Kane. Extremely rude in tone and pushy. Not sure why PPI claim companies employ idiots to win business? But this caller was clearly king of the pile.

Don't require this sort of call

Scummy company calling themselves Follow Up Team, who claim to be associated to your car insurance company. They ask for all the details of your recent accident and pass you on to a solicitor. Except they don't pass on any of the details you gave them to the solicitor, so you'd have to go through it all again. They are just after the commission they get for forwarding on claimants to solicitors and will ask you to exaggerate or outright lie to the solicitor in order to make a claim. A foreigner called saying he was from British Gas who handle our Electricity account. Only British Gas doesn't handle our electricity account? I advised him that I suspected he was a scammer. I advised him not to call us again otherwise I would report the number to the Information Commissioners. I then ended the call.

debt consolidation

'Julie' stating she was from Trust Telecom. Said that we WOULD get cheaper line rental but not that we had to transfer our business to them! I had never heard of Trust Telecom and asked her why she had called when I hadn't asked them to...she put the phone down. If this is a genuine business they need to look at their marketing strategy.
