Received a call this morning from the above number. Said that my pension was now due for review. Said they were the PENSIONS ADVICE BUREAU and confirmed my address and postcode. Said they were conducting reviews on UK pensions and that my pension was due for review. Seems strange as I have no pension nor is one then up for review. Automated message purportedly from VISA about a £600 debit on my account about 10.17am Mon 15 Mar, 2021. Their phone number (sourced from 1471) shares the same first 8 digits with two numbers featured on this site: 211 and 212. This implies that the company behind this scam has purchased a string of phone numbers. Surely, it can't be beyond the wit of the authorities to close them down.

Called about loft insulation. Said if was not a “selling” call it was a survey carried out to see if insulation was to standard. Then went on to say she Kew it was not to current standards but still denied it was a sales call. When I asked her to cut to the chase and not blindly following a script. She became abusive said I was a clever dick if I could see down the phone at what she was doing then she swore at me and hung up. Nice.

Same happened to me!
Caller identified herself as Julie Smith from Signet Advice (as far as I could tell with some background noise). Said she d been informed I was recently injured in a car accident that wasn t my fault. I asked her how she knew that. She replied that she was sorry to bother me and would remove my phone number from their database and hung up on me without pausing for breath. Pond scum. (My number is registered with TPS and I can t stand talking to idiots so I ve reported them)

They have been calling for months, sometimes 3 or 4 call a day, pretending to be from Technical Services Talktalk and saying some thing is wrong with my wifi system when I well know nothing is wrong at all. They are becoming a real nuisance.
