This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with PPI - insurance marketing.

The usual Microsoft Tech Department scam. Nothing here running any Microsoft software and I'm ex directory so clearly war dialling through the number space. Very thick Indian accent.

I had an email from this hoax this morning and worried that it was genuine intially as my son used my kindle and was playing games on it - despite me locking everything i could. I logged in on phone to see account needed verifying so stopped immediately. J

Text received claiming to be Royal Mail requesting payment of £2.99 customs fee via a link to a (supposed) Royal mail website. Reported to Royal Mail.

Told me he was from Telephone Preference Management (TPM) even used TPS address. Avoid clearly a scam.

This guy called regarding payment for an outstanding invoice threatening me with the small claims court, it is a scam I never had anything to do with the so called company wanting payment.

Someone saying he was from uk benifitsservice He had a very foreign Indian accent and the way he spoke was clear he was not used to English language and reading off a script He said I was selected to get a increase in my child benefit I said surly I would be sent a letter not told over the phone He the hung up

Told me id crashed my car and had an accident. Clever not, as I don't drive.

I have received several calls from this number to my mobile phone. The person who rang claimed she was aware I had problems with Microsoft Windows 10 and asked me to switch on my PC. At this point I just hung up.

Fraud

Had a call claiming to be HMRC saying I've committed tax fraud and that action was being taken against me. I was told to press 1 to find out more so I hung up as I have read somewhere that as soon as you press a number, your phone can be hacked or something bad like that. I know for a fact that I haven't committed tax fraud and I don't think HMRC would phone. They usually send letters in the first instance. Therefore I'm flagging this up as dangerous.

Calls several times in a row almost everyday day but hangs up as soon as we pick up. No words, just the sound of a call center or something like that in the background (for the one second it lasts) then it hangs up. Really annoying.

Lady with Liverpudlian accent rang my mobile (unsolicited) to advise she could help with a claim for a no fault accident I (supposedly) had. Advised her she was talking Bull**>t and to go away
