I couldn't tell hardly a word this character was saying. Sounded like a long distance call from India whilst he was wearing a big steel bucket on his head! I did pick one word which was "handset" at which I ended the call. My number is registered with the TPS but, as usual, that was a waste of time.

Called claiming to be calling about my phone contract, told them that I wasn't on a contract (I am) then they were like oh yes, we are offering you contract for £9 a month for unlimited everything okii?! Barely spoke English and spoke very quickly, kept going silent. I said no and hung up.

Just had a text message from this number, claiming to be from my eldest child. Stated Hey Dad, this is my new number, my phone just broke. You can delete my old number and save this one. I have a spare phone now, tried to call you earlier because I need your help, but I can only text at the moment due to this phone. I asked who it was. They replied, "your eldest child". I had a call from this number yesterday the caller said he was from British Gas to arrange a service I wasnt convinced that he was genuine and I asked him how I could be sure that he was from British Gas he immediately hung up Although this is a genuine BG number scammers can mimic numbers to make it look like the call is legitimate I will log into my British Gas account when I want to book my HomeCare service

Be careful it’s a scamI they send a text saying my new number save it with no name. I text back and asked if they were . Next got a couple of short text about hope your day is better than mine. Then a text asking to send £1500.00 because they needed the money and because number was changed it would take 24 hrs for verification . Promised to pay the money back tomorrow. I said I couldn’t pY any money as I was out and didn’t have details on me.

Cold-calling scam regarding "financial market investments", likely based overseas as the caller's proferred name did not seem to correlate with their accent. Nervous laughter and unconvincing denial from the caller when accused of being a scammer and asked if they were based in Kolkata. Avoid.
