I have text about one time payment ref nr and note to call if its fraud. I don't make any transactions to company AIRBNB.I don't know this company

A scam call supposedly from British Telecom saying Your service will be terminated press 1 to connect to adviser press 2 to hear message again.

Bad line so hard to hear properly what was being said, they asked me to answer a 2 min household survey but when I asked for more information about who the company was etc they hung up on me.

Keep getting calls from this nr despite being ex directory & not picking up. Daily, for weeks.

Are based in Scotland with no known office in 01305 exchange area. Have calls from Scotland re-routed through local exchange numbers in order to persuade people to answer a local number. If you call it back, then the call is again re-routed back to their Scotland office. Not sure if this is an illegal practice under telephony legislation, but would be interested if anyone can come up with the legislation about having calls re-routed to give the answering CLI the impression that the call is local.

I was contacted and told that there was something seriously wrong with my computer. I convinced the woman at the other end that my computer wasn t here and asked her to provide a callback number. Typed the number into google, found this.

Rang twice so far. Foreign difficult to understand- had my name as well as phone number. Put phone down.

Caller identified herself as Julie Smith from Signet Advice (as far as I could tell with some background noise). Said she d been informed I was recently injured in a car accident that wasn t my fault. I asked her how she knew that. She replied that she was sorry to bother me and would remove my phone number from their database and hung up on me without pausing for breath. Pond scum. (My number is registered with TPS and I can t stand talking to idiots so I ve reported them)

Wanted to talk to the phone bill payer and thought this was a home number. When advised it was a business they politely disengaged.
