Asian caller claiming I was being awarded a government grant of £8000 for being a good citizen. The money was just for me to spend as I wished as long as it wasn't for illegal purposes. He gave me a 'unique' code DV678 and told me to ring 0203 2391126 immediately, quoting this code. He asked me to repeat the code and number to ensure I had it correctly written but became agitated when I said I couldn't ring now as I was on my way to work. Just had a fun half hour with this bunch, I called them 28 times asking them to stop calling me, they went mental! What a great way to wind someone up who you're sick of getting calls from. In the end they pleaded with me to stop calling them. I suggest everyone who has an all inclusive phone contract, and a few minutes to spare on a train journey or a long car trip, to fight fire with fire - give them a taste of their own tactics.
