Despite this being a Glasgow code, the call is routed from Asia (caller told me this). They attempt to get you to buy anti virus software by claiming your computer has been hacked. DONT GIVE THEM ANY DETAILS OR PHONE THEM BACK

You can now buy an app for a mobile which spoofs its real number, similarly, there are ranges of spoof landline numbers. They originally had a legitimate use in filming - to make the action appear realistic but avoid some poor devil on a random number getting dragged out of bed at all hours. I got a very pleasant female, but it was the same old nonsense about "free" roof insulation (I have 8" so not "free"). I asked to be put through to her data control officer?. I cannot do that. TAXES / HMRC Call received letting me know that my National Insurance number had been compromised. Claiming to be from National Crime Agency. I have had a number of these calls from 07932 430057, then 07932 430068. I'm sure if you press 1 to be connected to someone you will be paying a fortune for the call. Just block it. If HMRC or the NCA want to get hold of you they won't be doing it with a random mobile number!!
