Man with a strong Asian accent called one evening claiming to be from "Lloyds Bank" asking to talk to the "account holder" and confirm security details. He was just fishing for personal details, he was completely unaware who I was and that I was not a customer of Lloyds TSB. Really nasty, threatening scam from this number. The message said HMRC had a tax fraud case listed against my name and I should press 1 to connect to the HMRC investigating officer to discuss the case. It then went on to say that if I didn't I would be arrested for tax fraud - I knew it was not true but some people could be really scared and stressed by this horrible scam.

SCAM...apparently from Amazon saying I would be debited for Amazon Prime if I didn't go to Google play store so they could send me a cancellation form. Told them I never had Amazon Prime but they insisted I do to Play store When I said I would call Amazon customer service they put the phone down !

Made a mistake by answering the call as I have many mates in Edinburgh. Now they just keep ringing (almost 3 times a day).
Came up from darlington. This person named copeland called re: bing verification of business listing I said I was already verified but had a duplicate listing, any how this person was rude, overbearing and aggressive, and refused to listen to any thing I said saying (he was going to hang up as he didnt like how i spoke to him) imagine that, I have the call recorded and saved on file.

Received an urgent sounding recorded message, claiming to be British Gas and asking us to call 01216290765. Spoke to BG, and they have confirmed that THIS IS A SCAM, as they would never contact customers in such a manner.

SCAM -- 7.45 a.m., Asian woman, semi-intelligible from noisy call centre, about our 'BT account'. We don't have one: took a few moments to shake her off.
SCAM. Nothing happened when I picked up - as in no one said or did anything. After a bit of research I found that other people also received a scam call from this number.
